What's a typical sermorelin dose?
Most adult sermorelin protocols run 100-300 mcg once nightly. Beginners and women often start at 100-150 mcg; men aiming for body composition or recovery typically run 200-300 mcg. The original brand Geref (approved in the US in 1997 for pediatric growth hormone deficiency) was dosed by body weight in kids, so adult doses are extrapolated from clinical and compounding pharmacy practice rather than a head-to-head adult trial. Cycle for 8-12 weeks, then take 4 weeks off to keep your pituitary responsive.
- Standard adult dose range: 100-300 mcg subcutaneously once nightly
- Men typically tolerate 200-300 mcg/day; women often respond well at 100-150 mcg/day
- Most cycles run 8-12 weeks on, then 4 weeks off
- Sermorelin is not approved in the US as a finished product anymore (Geref discontinued in 2008); it is only available compounded
- Sermorelin is on the World Anti-Doping Agency 2026 Prohibited List under S2.2.4 (growth hormone releasing factors)
