How do I reconstitute a 5 mg ipamorelin vial?
Updated 2026-05-05
Add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water to a 5 mg ipamorelin vial. That gives you 2.5 mg per mL. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 10 units equals 250 mcg of ipamorelin. A 200 mcg dose is 8 units and a 300 mcg dose is 12 units. Pour the water down the side of the vial, swirl, and refrigerate.
IfIf your dose is 200 mcg
Thenthen draw 8 units on a U-100 insulin syringe
IfIf your dose is 300 mcg
Thenthen draw 12 units on a U-100 insulin syringe
IfIf you stack ipamorelin with CJC-1295
Thenthen dose both at night, in the same site, with separate syringes
IfIf you wake up hungry around 3 a.m.
Thenthen this is a known effect of ghrelin-mimicking peptides - try moving the dose 1-2 hours earlier
Key facts
- 5 mg vial + 2.0 mL bac water = 2.5 mg/mL concentration
- On a U-100 syringe at 2.5 mg/mL, 1 unit = 25 mcg
- Common dose is 200-300 mcg, 1-3 times daily; many users start with one nightly shot
- Ipamorelin is a selective ghrelin agonist - less hunger spike than older GHRPs like GHRP-6
- Mixed vial keeps in the fridge ~28 days
