There are air bubbles in my syringe - is that dangerous?

For under-the-skin injections, small air bubbles are not dangerous. Your fatty tissue absorbs them harmlessly - they cannot reach your bloodstream like an IV injection could. The reason to remove big bubbles is dose accuracy, not safety. A bubble takes up space where medicine should be, so a syringe full of air gives you less medicine than the markings show. Tap the syringe with your finger to float bubbles to the top, then push them back into the vial and redraw.
